It’s been a very long time since I posted here. Most times I will send you a message on my Facebook page: www.Facebook.com/Pam.Bartnett.Designer

I haven’t offered much new over the past year. I’ve been dealing with some health issues that limit the length of time I stitch. I’m working on changing some of the underlying issues that have led me to this. I do still love to design though, and may have a few things to offer in time for the holidays.

In the meantime I’ve been sharing some designs that have proven to be favorites of my customers, particularly the “Christmas in the Colonies Series”, my Halloween designs, and “Christmas-Tree”. The seasonal birds have also been quite popular, as well as “Thankful and Blessed”, a wonderful piece with autumnal colors and perfect for Thanksgiving.

I have also begun to sell my designs directly to consumers. At this time you can contact me through my email. In the future I’m considering an Etsy shop or online shopping through this website. If I can get it altogether (I’m not very techy and need assistance from my grandchildren LOL), I’ll notify you through my Facebook page. Of course, you’re always welcome to have your favorite shop order from me if they don’t have a stock of my patterns at this time.

I plan to also convert some of my older patterns to be downloadable. I’ve been designing since 1985 under the name of Designs From Pamela, and only a few years ago started anew as Stitches Through Time. In the beginning I only sold my patterns in kits and mostly through The Needlecrafts of Nicholson-White House at Merchants Square in Williamsburg, Virginia, an absolutely wonderful little shop that carried several different forms of needlework. Sadly the owner retired in the 90’s and the shop was taken over by, I believe, a clothing store. I was fortunate enough to have my design “On Endurance” included in the Merchants Square magazine.

My design that is a free pattern on this website, “Our Heavenly Father”, was originally a DFP design which was featured in Just Cross Stitch magazine’s April 2007 issue. I have updated two of my DFP patterns, “On Marriage” and “Love Never Ends, an anniversary sampler” which are featured on my Gallery of Designs page. They are in chartpack form as are all of Stitches Through Time patterns and will not be downloadable.

Recently I have reignited my love of Wool Applique and have some new designs in mind. If you haven’t tried wool applique, you’re in for a treat. You get to use as many or little of your embroidery stitches on them and it is not only easier on the eyes but offers a quicker gratification than cross stitch. We all love our cross stitch pieces, but you know how long they can take to stitch!

There are many fine shops that offer the wool, and Perle Cotton threads (No. 12 is the most popular) but you can also use any embroidery floss from your stash. My favorite source for the wool and threads is Weeks Dye Works. There are other companies as well, but Amanda at Weeks has been so generous to me in the past that I consider her my first go to.

I hope this finds you all well, especially with the restrictions that have been placed on us this year. I personally believe that we will all have much to be thankful for by years end. Be blessed!
